We are not a fixed price no-negotiations dealer like CARMAX either. We welcome further discussion of pricing and we'll compete with other offers you may have and work with you to fit the vehicle in your budget even if it means further adjustment in our no-hassle pricing. You have the choice: Buy at our no-hassle price and save time and money or talked to us about why we should change our no-hassle pricing. We won't give you hassle but keep in mind that to tell us We'll go over all the numbers including price, rebates, taxes, government fees and finance charges if any so you will know exactly what you are getting for what you are paying.

We frequently meet customers who come in to trade their vehicle way earlier than their regular trade cycle. These folks almost always did get a great price when they purchased the vehicle they want to trade. They now realize that what they bought at a great price is not exactly what they wanted or needed or it lacks features they really want or need. Unfortunately the great deal they got six month to a year ago ends up costing more. A great price does not always mean a great deal. So please forgive us if we try to take your focus off the price and want to learn about your wants, needs and intended uses for the vehicle you are considering. We are not trying to get you to pay more. We want to help you get the right car the first time so you SAVE more in the long run.

Here are the answers to frequently asked questions about how we do business:

Q. Is Swift a Costco Dealer?

A. We are a Costco Auto Program authorized dealer for Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram brands. As of today January 24th, 2012 we are not participating in the Costco Auto Program for Kia brand. Watch here for further updates.

Q. Do you work with other affinity car buying services?

A. There are a number of organizations like AAA, USAA, GEICO, Consumer Reports, Bank of America that offer car buying services for their members, subscribers and customers. These programs offer hassle-free, haggle-free, quality car buying experience which are not much different than what we are striving to offer online to everyone. Keep in mind that the pricing for most if not all of these car buying services set by the individual dealers participating in these programs and differ from dealer to dealer. Our online pricing for the most part is set to be competitive with these car buying service offers and we do offer the same if not better level of service. If you are a member of one of these organizations, please let us know.

Q. Have you heard of TrueCar.com? Do you participate in True Car program?

A. When the True Car program was called ZAG and administered some if not most of the affinity car buying services like USAA, we worked with them. They have decided to promote their services and website TrueCar.com to everyone by using TV commercials. We no longer participate in True Car program. In our humble opinion, their current model of advertising is creating unrealistic expectations. Dealers who participate in True Car program do agree to sell cars at set prices and these prices will vary from dealer to dealer. Dealers who are participating in the program may not have the vehicle you specified and received a price quote on TrueCar.com and they are not obligated to provide you with that specific car at the price shown on your TrueCar certificate. On our website you can see all the vehicles we have in stock in real time. We encourage you to contact us and verify availability before you make the trip. We do not give price quotes on vehicles we do not have in stock or we can not reasonably obtain from another dealer or order from factory. Unfortunately, many times customers are given unrealistic price quotes on vehicles that don't exist which makes them frustrated when they try to do a comparison shopping based on that unrealistic price. If you visited the TrueCar.com and printed a price sheet, contact us and give us the opportunity to either match or beat it. Don't forget that you'd be bombarded with emails and phone calls from the dealers who received your information. A little more competition from us will most certainly save you more money.

Q. Price is the most important thing for me. How do I know your price is the best price?

A. Because we say so. Well, just kidding of course. We do not claim to have the best prices in Davis, in greater Sacramento area, in California, in Western United States or in the whole country. What we are offering is a no-hassle, upfront, clear and understandable pricing that saves you time and money with a quality service that makes your car buying experience an enjoyable one. Can you get better prices somewhere else? Sure, if you don't mind spending more time, effort and a confrontational and a frustrating car buying experience. We have not met many people who enjoyed getting a run-around from other dealers. If you enjoy negotiation and have some time to spare you can negotiate with us. We ask you do the negotiation in person at our location -- yep, we'll have the home turf advantage but you will start at an already discounted price -- after you see and test-drive the vehicle. We even try to make negotiation friendly and fun. No worries if we do not come to agreement. There is no hard feelings and we'll part friends.

Q. Am I going to be dealing with one person from your internet sales department?

A. Swift Kia has an Internet Savvy Sales Force. We do not have a separate internet sales department. Our Internet Sales Manager and his team will be your initial contact by email and by phone, whichever you prefer. Our expert Sales Consultants will be the ones presenting, demonstrating, test-driving the vehicles with you. Our whole team including our Sales Consultants, Sales & Finance Managers work together to save you time and money and make your car buying a pleasant experience.

Q. What do I need to bring in to my appointment?

A. Driver's License and proof of insurance. For financing arrangements, we may need a current pay stub or some other form of proof of income, current utility or phone bill as a proof of residence especially if you recently changed your residence address, names, addresses and phone numbers of a relative and two references.

Q. I have my own financing. Do you still need all that information?

A. It depends on the source of your own financing. Some may still require us to collect some or most of this information. Please contact us with your financing information. It is great that you secured your own financing and you know the terms and conditions of your loan. Automobile financing offers change constantly these days. As we stated repeatedly: We want to SAVE you money and suggest that you give us the opportunity to look to see if there is a better offer for you. We have experienced Finance Managers who work with all major banks, financial institutions and credit unions. You have nothing to lose if we cannot find a better offer but everything to gain if we do.

Q. My financing is with my Credit Union. Do I need a purchase order?

A. Most credit unions in the area participate in Credit Union Direct Lending (CUDL) program which is a point-of-purchase provider. As a member of a participating CUDL credit union, you can experience the easiest way to purchase a new or used car while taking advantage of your Credit Union's great auto loan financing. CUDL is an automated loan approval system that this authorized dealer and your credit union use to give you the best and most convenient way to process your auto loan. That's right, credit union financing without even visiting a branch! It saves you time. There is no need to make multiple trips between your credit union branch and our store. Purchase orders do not secure a vehicle so by using CUDL you avoid the risk that the vehicle you are interested will be sold.

Q. Don't you hold cars?

A. We can only agree to hold a vehicle for you while you are traveling to see, test-drive and/or finalize a deal on a vehicle so the vehicle is not sold in the meantime. Please call us and let us know that you are on your way and your approximate time of arrival.

Q. Do you take pre-approved loan checks from other financial institutions like Capital One, Road Loans etc?

A. We do. We would need to see the documentation that has the term and conditions. We may also need to contact these institutions before we finalize the deal. Again we suggest that you give us the opportunity to look to see if we can find you a better offer.

Q. I want to pay by cash. Do you take cash?

A. Absolutely! You can pay by cash or cashier's check. We also take personal checks but may ask you to allow us to run a credit check and to give us additional reference information.

Q. How about a credit card? Can I put it all on a credit card?

A. We understand the advantage of earning rewards or miles by charging the car to your credit card but unfortunately we only accept credit cards as down payments or as partial payments. Contact us about the amounts we can work with.

Q. Do you take trades?

A. Yes! Not only we take trades, we want trades. Our Used Car Manager prefers to stay at the store appraising trades rather than jetting to the auctions all over the country.

Q. How much will you pay for my trade?

A. We'll pay a fair market value for your trade. We can only determine that after we see and appraise your trade. If you are looking for a rough idea or a ballpark figure, internet is your best friend. Try KBB.com. Keep in mind that used car market is very dynamic and the vehicle values may change weekly based on the market, location and time of the year. We are as competitive in buying trades as we are competitive in selling our cars so bring your trade in.

Q. What are Bonus Cash amounts and why are they highlighted in yellow?

A. Kia has Bonus Cash offers available for new Kia purchasers. These offers re in addition to rebates but they may have eligible requirements. We display these offers so you are aware of them and do not miss out on any incentive you may be eligible. We highlight them in yellow because not everyone will qualify for these offers. If you click on the "Bonus Cash" link you can see current offers and eligibility requirements.

KIA Unveils Four New Rides At NY International Auto Show

2011 Optima

Building on momentum established in 2009 with three new products, record U.S. market share and the opening of Kia Motors’ first automotive assembly plant on U.S. soil, Kia Motors America today unveiled four all-new vehicles during a press conference at the New York International Auto Show: the 2011 Optima midsize sedan, Forte five-door compact, and the Sportage and Sorento SX compact CUVs. Following the successful launches of the Soul, Forte and Forte Koup, Kia Motors’ slate of New York introductions continue the brand’s design-led transformation and each combine new and compelling design traits with the latest technology and convenience features while delivering efficient and fun-to-drive performance characteristics.

Optima

Arriving in showrooms in early fall, the next-generation Optima advances Kia Motor’s design-led transformation with completely new and stunning design characteristics, highlighted by a dynamic and streamlined profile that conveys elegance and athletic confidence from every angle. The all-new Optima’s three new powertrains – including the brand’s first-ever turbo and hybrid (available next year) in the U.S. – deliver class-leading2 power and fuel economy while the sedan’s spacious cabin is outfitted with the latest technology features and luxury amenities. Keeping in line with the stylish and practical Forte compact sedan and first-for-Kia Forte Koup, the Forte five-door adds another attractive option to the Forte family. The all-new Kia Sportage compact CUV pays homage to its design heritage in a sleeker and more muscular package and also will employ a turbo option, while the new SX package for the popular 2011 Sorento CUV provides a more aggressive appearance trim for the first vehicle built at Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia (KMMG), the first manufacturing plant on U.S. soil for Kia Motors.

“We have been promoting the Kia brand evolution over the past few years and backed it up with dramatic gains in quality and value while adding world-class design every step of the way,” said Michael Sprague, vice president, marketing, KMA. “Kia’s recent launch cycle has now delivered eight new products in less than two years, this aggressiveness is nothing short of amazing and speaks to the growing power of the brand in the U.S. and globally.”

The all-new 2011 Optima projects a high-performance image with its unique silhouette and sleek stance that builds upon Kia Motors’ philosophy of creating high quality and dynamic vehicles that evoke passion. Longer, wider and lower than before, Optima’s coupe-like profile is enhanced by a sweeping chrome arc that flows from the A through C pillars, a distinctive design motif that visually lowers the car further and enhances its proportions. Available in three trims, LX, EX and SX, the 2011 Optima offers a wide array of convenience and luxury as well as impressive technology features like UVO powered by Microsoft®3, an advanced in-car communications and entertainment system with rear-view camera, AM/FM/CD/MP3/Sat audio system with SIRIUS® Satellite Radio capabilities and three months complimentary service4, auxiliary and USB audio input jacks for connecting with with three all-new and fuel-efficient engines, a 2.4-liter GDI four-cylinder, a 2.0-liter GDI turbo engine or a 2.4-liter hybrid (available late 2010).

Forte 5 Door

Forte five-door builds on the popular Forte compact sedan and bold Forte Koup by employing another practical yet modern iteration of the platform. Lower and firmly set on its haunches, Forte five-door carries with it all the amenities of the Forte line and introduces a new front grille, alloy wheels, lower valence design, center console, paddle shifters, push-button start and navigation in addition to the ostensible fifth door for a distinct appearance and intentional practicality. Forte five-door is available with two efficient engines – 2.0-liter or 2.4-liter – and a new six-speed manual or automatic transmission.

2011 Sportage EX

The all-new 2011 Kia Sportage compact CUV exudes urban street presence with a capacity for around-town utility. Longer, wider and lower than the previous model, the all-new design successfully retains the key features that made the second-generation Kia Sportage so popular – the commanding driving position, heightened sense of security and powerful road presence. The new Sportage’s athleticism is reinforced by its rakish windscreen angle, which sweeps seamlessly into the low roofline. The full-sectioned body is defined by a spearing shoulder line throughout the length of the car, and together with the lowered body, offers a distinct sense of precision while the generous C pillar gives a sense of solidity and balance. Available in two-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations, the new Sportage will offer a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder GDI turbo powerplant arriving shortly after launch. The all-new Sportage features comfortable seating for five and all the latest in standard Kia technology, including MP3 capability, satellite radio, Bluetooth®5 wireless technology, and UVO powered by Microsoft hands-free infotainment and available with HD Radio®. The new, lighter unibody construction pays dividends in handling and fuel efficiency.

The all-new Sorento has exceeded expectations since going on sale in early January and is becoming KMA’s best-selling vehicle, and now the new SX trim adds an edgier attitude and comes standard with a host of luxury, convenience and technology features throughout. Offering a more muscular stance, Sorento SX dons unique front and rear fascias to convey additional authority while added chrome to the exhaust outlet, LED tail lamps and redesigned 18-inch alloy wheels with a hyper silver paint finish increase its luxurious exterior appeal. Driver and passengers will benefit from Dual Flow Damper (DFD) shock absorbers, leather-trimmed and heated front seats, electrochromatic mirror with Homelink®6 and a voice-activated navigation system with back-up camera, standard Infinity®7 audio surround sound system with 10 speakers, panoramic sunroof, seating for seven and a 3.5-liter V6 engine with best-in-class horsepower8.

Competitive Warranty

The 2011 Optima, Forte five-door, Sportage and Sorento are covered by Kia’s warranty program, which offers unprecedented consumer protection. Included in this program are a 10-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty, a five-year/60,000-mile limited basic warranty and a five-year/100,000-mile anti-perforation warranty. A five-year/60,000-mile roadside assistance plan also is part of the vehicle coverage.
